RICHMOND, Va. -- Volunteers came together to clean up Richmond's second largest African American cemetery.
A group gathered Saturday morning at Woodland Cemetery to cut grass, clean debris and help restore the burial ground to its former glory.
Volunteer Lorenza Crowder said the sacrifices of those buried there is a testament to future generations.
"People laid down so that we could be a better person today," Crowder said. "There is no black and white, there's just people, so we're here to help."
