DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Investigators have made two arrests in the death of a 23-year-old man, found in a ditch alongside Rainey Creek Road, Wednesday morning.
Late last night, 26-year-old Ryan Wayne Jones, of the 2200 block of Johnson Road in Hopewell was arrested. Early this morning, Sheriff's investigators arrested 27-year-old Darius Javonte Holmes, of the 500 block of West Washington Street in Petersburg.
Both are charged with second-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Zackary Elan Scott.
Investigators tell CBS 6, all three men knew each other.
Jones and Holmes are being held without bond at the Meherrin Regional Jail.Both will be arraigned Tuesday.
Scott had ties to both Hopewell and Prince George County, officials said.
