Tracy Sears celebrates 20 years at WTVR CBS 6

RICHMOND, Va, -- Anchor and reporter Tracy Sears is celebrating 20 years at WTVR CBS 6.

Tracy joined the South's First Television Station on Nov. 1 , 2000.

Photojournalist Todd Haas’ highlight reel features some memorable moments with Tracy over the past two decades along with some sweet messages from her three children.

The video surprise aired on CBS 6 News at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

"You're going to make me cry," Tracy said. "I thought you guys didn't know."

Tracy's co-anchor Jake Burns said the one of the things that struck him watching the video was that everyone around Tracy always had a smile on their face.

"Well, this has been my family, my second family and I wouldn't give it up for the world," Tracy said.

Tracy anchors the 6:30 and 11 p.m. Sunday newscasts and reports for CBS 6 News at 11 p.m. Mondays.
