Thomas Jefferson student taken into custody after trying to enter school with knife

RICHMOND, Va. -- A student was taken into custody on Thursday after trying to enter Thomas Jefferson High School with a knife.

Just after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, school security stopped a student after discovering he had a knife.

The SRO secured the knife and took the student into custody.
