RICHMOND, Va. -- A group of volunteers gathered at a historic cemetery in Richmond Saturday to honor tennis great Arthur Ashe.
Volunteers spent time sprucing up Woodland Cemetery, where the Richmond native is buried.
The group mowed the grass, cut brush and small trees, cleaned off headstones and picked up trash at the city's second largest African American cemetery.
The event also included a special presentation from one of Ashe's family members.
Friday was Ashe's birthday. He died in 1993 when he was 49 years old.
