Teen girls injured in Richmond double shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- A double shooting investigation is underway after two teen girls were shot Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the shooting in the 2300 block of Fairfield Avenue at approximately 4:18 a.m.

When officers arrived to the scene, two girls were found shot. They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police described the victims as two mid-teen juvenile females.

Police have not released any information about a suspect or motive in the shooting at this time.
