NEW YORK -- A social media influencer from Richmond is taking his message of inclusion to New York Fashion Week.
Twenty-year-old Brandon Farbstein, who was diagnosed with a rare form of dwarfism at two-years-old, is working to empower millions of people who live with a disability.
The motivational speaker and an author encourages others to overcome challenges and elevate empathy.
Farbstein, who will be sporting Tommy Hilfiger, will be representing Runway of Dreams in a virtual show Monday at 8 p.m.
The nonprofit organization promotes acceptance in the fashion industry for people with disabilities.
"If you would have told me when I was younger that I would have the opportunity to be a model, I probably would have laughed at the thought...ME??? A MODEL?" Farbstein posted on Instagram. "However, there are times when people see something in you that you may not see in yourself."
The show is free to stream. Click here to register so you can watch.
Farbstein was also profiled in a 2015 "Heroes Among Us"feature from Greg McQuade.
