Rob Cardwell celebrates 20 years at CBS 6

RICHMOND, Va. -- Rob Cardwell celebrated his 20th anniversary at CBS 6 News on Friday.

"I'm just so glad that I'm still here, but at my age, I'm happy to be anywhere," the CBS 6 This Morning anchor said following a video tribute that aired on the morning newscast.

Cardwell joined CBS 6 in as the morning anchor in 2000. He also anchored the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts during his CBS 6 career.

In addition to his anchor duties, Cardwell produces the award-winning Building Better Minds series which shines a spotlight on the good people who make Central Virginia schools so special.

"Thank you everybody. And thank you, at home, for allowing me to come into your homes every morning. We appreciate it," he said.
