RICHMOND, Va. -- The condition of a Richmond teenager shot in the chest Tuesday was upgraded on Wednesday to stable but serious, according to Richmond Police.
"Officers were called to the 3500 block of Clydewood Avenue for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located a 17-year-old male, 17, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with an injury that was considered life threatening," a Richmond Police spokesperson said. "A 16-year-old male was taken into investigative detention at the scene and interviewed as part of the investigation. At this time, there are no charges filed. Detectives have determined an altercation led to the shooting. "
