RICHMOND, Va. -- Three Maggie Walker Governor's School students held their second Cube to CureRubik's Cube competition fundraiser Saturday.

John Staley, Ryland Wilson and Jacob Lee hosted the first match tournament, which raised over $2700 to help with coronavirus relief, in May.

"I was really thinking, how can I do more than just sit here everyday and sleep in, which is fun but not very fulfilling," Wilson said in May.

This tourney featured more than 87 competitors from over 19 countries, including Croatia, Nigeria and Norway.

Like the first event, organizers said the proceeds will benefit Heart to Heart International, a healthcare organization assisting with COVID-19 relief across the globe.

The group is also selling face masks adorned with a Rubik's Cube pattern that will also benefit Heart to Heart International.
