RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Public Schools is expanding its meal-delivery program by using buses to bring food to 34 locations around the city.
On Monday RPS opened food distribution sites at 20 schools throughout the county. And on Wednesday, the school district began delivering meals directly into neighborhoods to increase access to food for families without transportation.
On March 23, the program will expand to 34 new locations. Delivery busses will have volunteers to hand out the meals, including Spanish-speaking volunteers for Southside routes.
Additionally, the 10 least utilized school distribution sites will be closed so that the food can be distributed to more active sites.

- East End: Armstrong HS, MLK MS
- Northside: Ginter Park ES
- West End: Binford MS, Carver ES
