PETERSBURG, Va. -- One person is dead and others are injured after a three-vehicle crash in Petersburg Saturday morning, according to officials.
Petersburg Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment ear the 2800 block of County Drive near Baxter Lane around 10:30 Saturday morning.

Prince George Police said they were attempting to stop a burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee going 115 mph on I-295.
The Jeep exited the highway at exit 3B and crashed head-on into two other vehicles on County Drive.
A person in one of the vehicles involved died at the scene and multiple others were injured and taken to local hospitals.
Witnesses said two people were in handcuffs on the scene.
Charges are pending in both the City of Petersburg and Prince George County.
Virginia State Police is assisting Petersburg Police in the investigation.
