PETERSBURG, Va. -- An investigation is underway after shots were fired at officers in Petersburg Saturday night, according to Petersburg Police.
Police officials said officers were called to a burglary in progress at the intersection of Defense and Bannister roads.

Around 11:00 p.m., police gave an update that Baniser & Defense reopened.
"There were no injuries to civilians or officers during this incident. An investigation into this matter is on going," police say.
