CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were killed Tuesday night in a crash on Hull Street Road.
Police responded to 11501 Hull Street Road on Tuesday around 10 p.m.
Chaz Matthew Wendt, 29, of Midlothian, was driving a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Hull Street Road when he struck a pedestrian crossing Hull Street Road, according to police.
The pedestrian, Floyd J. Burkhammer, 69, was pronounced deceased on scene. Wendt died at the hospital. Police say their preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and speed contributed to this crash. The crash remains under investigation.
