Police investigate armed robbery at Trader Joe's in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at Trader Joe's in Richmond Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the Trader Joe's on Stony Point Road for the incident around 3:22 p.m.

Police were told that a man walked up to a cashier in the store, showed a weapon and demanded money. The suspect took the cash and ran from the store.

The suspect is described as a man, between 35 to 40-years-old, wearing Converse sneakers, a gray neck gaiter, a black rubber wedding band with two lime green lines on it, and a long silver necklace with a “V” pendant on it.
