PETERSBURG, Va. – Police are investigating after a person was shot multiple times Sunday night in Petersburg.
Police said officers were called to the 900 Block of Diamond Street for the report of a person shot just before 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived to the scene near the intersection of Diamond and St. Matthew streets, they found a victim with gunshot wounds on each wrist.
First responders transported the victim to an area hospital.
“There is no suspect information available at this time,” officers said around 10:30 p.m.
