Person in custody after passengers in 2 cars open fire driving down Petersburg street

PETERSBURG, Va. -- At least one person is in custody after passengers in two vehicles driving on a Petersburg street started shooting at each other early Sunday morning.

Officials said it all started sometime around 12:30 a.m. at Union and Tabb streets and then later at Market and Washington streets

Police managed to stop one of the drivers and allegedly found a weapon, but they are still looking for the second car.

Investigators have not released a description of that vehicle.

There were no reports of any injuries at last check Sunday morning.
