PETERSBURG, Va. -- Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier will be reopening for visitation on Friday, May 15, 2020.

Starting March 16, the park first began preventative efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but came to the solution of temporarily closing the park on March 25.

Due to closure, the park canceled 19 events, facility rentals, and group activities. Currently special events and group activities are indefinitely postponed until it is safe to hold group events.

The park staff has made safety for its visitors a priority therefore frequent cleaning and sanitation of high contact surfaces will be done daily. Staff members will wear face masks and visitors are encouraged to do so as well.

Please adhere to social distancing guideline of six feet apart and the building occupancy levels will be closely monitored.

The park's new operating hours will be Tuesday through Sunday with public visitation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visitors can call (804) 861-2408 or email memberservices@pamplinpark.org with any questions.
