HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A man was arrested and charged in connection to a Wednesday morning shooting in Henrico.
"Police responded to the 200 block of Newbridge Circle for the report of a shooting," a Henrico Police spokesperson said about the 1:33 a.m. call. "One adult female was transported to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound."
Shawn Roderick Collier, 39, was arrested on the scene.

Collier was charged with:
- Malicious wounding
- Use of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Police did not disclose the relationship between Collier and the woman who was shot, however, officers called the shooting an "isolated incident" and that there was "no further threat to the community."
