HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Tajah Dye lives in Henrico County and was last seen at a restaurant off Hull Street Road in Chesterfield almost a week ago.
Two police agencies are now working together to try and find the missing 23-year-old woman.
"Her phone, her car, it's not like her to leave without telling me as her mother, anything at all," Dye's mother, who asked CBS 6 to hide her identity, said.
Surveillance footage of Dye has surfaced from Yamato's restaurant in Chesterfield in which Tajah can be seen with a man.
Dye's mom has been told that the man was recently released from federal prison.
"I don't recognize the guy at all,” she said Monday. “Like her sister said, he's definitely not her type. It’s somebody she wouldn't talk to, so I don't understand why she's not home."
Dye's phone is dead and the activity on all of her social media platforms has stopped.
Her car, a silver 2010 Mazda 6 with 30-day tags has also vanished.
As the minutes pass, her mom is worried that something terrible happened to her youngest daughter.
“She's diabetic and hasn't taken her insulin since Tuesday,” she said. “I need her to be home. I don't want her in trouble or to be sick. I just want her home."
If you know anything about Tajah Dye’s whereabouts, please call Chesterfield or Henrico Police.
