ATLANTA -- A Midlothian woman competed in the Olympic Marathon Trials in Atlanta Saturday today.
Keira D’Amato finished her run in 02:34:24.
Unfortunately, D’Amato was not one of the first three finishers and placed 15th out of 390 women competing for a chance to run in Tokyo.
D’Amato qualified for the Olympic trials two years ago and spent the time since training for the big event.
A big congrats to D’Amato for placing so highly and proudly representing Central Virginia in the event.
