LOUISA COUNTY, Va. -- An investigation is underway after a man is believed to have drowned on Lake Anna Sunday.
Officials said the 51-year-old man was swimming around the islands off Duerson Point on the lake when he went under.
"Preliminary information by witnesses stated before they had lost sight of the male," Detective Chuck Love the Louisa County Sheriff's Office said.
Officials said the victim's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
