CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are looking for the person, or persons, involved in a deadly fight at a Chesterfield club.
Chesterfield Police Lt.Brad Conner said the fight happened around 1 a.m. Saturday at Club Universal on Jefferson Davis Highway. He said police weren't notified until hours later, and responded to an area hospital Saturday evening.
"On Saturday, July 11, police responded to an area hospital after two men arrived with injuries they had sustained the previous night during a fight at a club in the 7200 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. One victim had life-threatening injuries and the second had non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim reported that he and the other victim were assaulted by an unknown suspect or suspects," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. "On Thursday, July 16, the first victim died as a result of his injuries."
Police have not yet released the victim's name.
"Based on information from witnesses, police have created a composite sketch of a man who may have been involved in or have information about the incident outside the club," the police spokesperson continued.
