RICHMOND, Va, -- Tens of thousands of Virginians have been forced to apply for unemployment as businesses close across the state in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But as grocery stores and essential businesses see a rise in traffic, there are a handful of companies who are hiring. Businesses including Kroger, Dollar General, and Amazon have listed thousands of job openings for sales associates, distribution workers, and delivery drivers, among others.

Applications now accepted for Police and 9-1-1 operator positions with the Henrico County Police Division.
