HOPEWELL, Va--The Historic Beacon Theatre Hopewell, is on a rebound…..slowly adding artists to its roster.

Initially the theatre was completely close then featured the Secret Stage series of concerts live from the Beacon stage with just the bands on stage.

But the doors closed after 6 weeks, they’re now open with limited capacity with safety in mind.

“We’re Kinda at the mercy really of artists who want to be on the road right now and that number is growing especially for a theatre the size of the beacon, the historic beacon theatre in Hopewell” says a Beacon Theatre rep Adam Stubbs.

The theatre holds about 700 but seating is reserved for only about 150 per show.

He says everybody’s been really safe I’ve actually been I’ve been really impress, and we see everything else going on around us but I think folks really appreciate the chance to get out and enjoy a little positive time with live music. “

Artists already booked include country and rock award winners, Blue Grass Legend Marty Stewart and others.

You know there are folks out getting on the road and the impression is if they feel they can be safe and the audience can be safe there they’re happy to play.
