RICHMOND, Va. -- Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is traditionally a popular spot for Mother’s Day celebrations.
But with this years Mother’s Day concert canceled due to COVID-19, the garden is bringing the celebrations online.
Beth Monroe, Public Relations & Marketing Director with Lewis Ginter said that the garden will be available to the public via a special Mother's Day Video on Facebook.
The video will premiere on Facebook at 1 p.m. on Mother’s Day and later be uploaded to YouTube and the garden’s website.
Musician Susan Greenbaum will provide the soundtrack to the video.
The garden is asking people to share their special “moms and children photos,” on social media tagging Lewis Ginter and using the hashtag #FlowerChildren. They’ll then be entered to win a free Garden membership and a special gift basket from the Garden Shop.
