HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- The Innsbrook Foundation announced Friday that the remainder of their signature events for 2020 have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This means events like Innsbrook After Hours concerts, Innsbrook Taste of Virginia, and Innsbrook’s Pumpkin Palooza will be canceled for 2020.
Yvonne Mastromano, Executive Director of the Innsbrook Foundation, said the tough decison was made due to the health risks associated with COVID-19 and current restrictions on social gatherings.
"While we are deeply saddened by these circumstances, our first priority is and always will be the safety of our community," said Mastromano. "We look forward with hope to a 2021 event season when we can safely gather with our friends and neighbors at events that turn great entertainment into memorable experiences. We appreciate your support of the Innsbrook Foundation.”
While several family-friendly events have been canceled, the Innsbrook Foundation has re-worked some other events to be more accessible, safe, and socially-distanced.
"We are excited to announce the reworking of our FIDO5K event into a virtual event to encourage wellness, outdoor activities, and fun with your floofy companions," said Mastromano.
The Innsbrook Foundation has also launched a new Innsbrook Drive in movie series, showing classic and modern movies on a 48-foot screen.
