RICHMOND, Va. -- The Veil Brewing Company has released a new beer in honor of a beloved Richmond bartender who died competing in triathlon last summer.
Quy P. Pham was a longtime bartender at Richmond's famed Mekong restaurant on West Broad Street.
The brewery recently released an imperial stout called "Quy" made with Vietnamese coffee, vanilla, and maple syrup.
Brewers said it tastes like coffee cake, tiramisu, and refined brandy.
This is the second beer The Veil has released in Pham's honor.
Officials with the brewery said 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Pham's family.
