RICHMOND, Va. -- Medical marijuana is now available in Richmond with the soft opening Friday of Green Leaf Medical of Virginia in South Richmond.
Registered patients are now allowed to go to the Decatur Street facility to speak with a pharmacist about treatment options.
“We are excited to bring not only relief to patients but also a boost to the Richmond area economy through our local hires and commitment to growth,” Joy Strand, executive vice president of Green Leaf Medical and vice president of VMCC, said in an email statement.
Those interested in seeking medical cannabis treatment must first register as a patient with the Board of Pharmacy (click here for information).
A grand opening for Green Leaf Medical is planned for mid-December.
