HOPEWELL, Va. — Two women were shot in Hopewell on New Year's Eve, according to police.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Old Iron Road.
Police found two women on scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to local hospitals. One of them suffered life-threatening injuries.
Sources tell CBS 6 Crime Insider Jon Burkett that the victims were inside a car and shot in front of the Hopewell Heights sign at the entrance of Old Iron Court.
Hopewell police are still investigating the incident.
