RICHMOND, Va. -- It's Hispanic Heritage Month and the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted its first-ever Restaurante Week, supporting Hispanic and Latin restaurants impacted by COVID-19.
Over 30 locally owned businesses in Northern Virginia, Hampton Roads and Richmond participated.
VAHCC's CEO and founder Michel Zajur and Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney met for lunch to celebrate and support two of the participating restaurants earlier this week.
"These restaurants have been the middle bone, front bone, back bone of the Richmond economy so it's a great opportunity to come out and taste the culture we have in our city," Stoney said.
Restaurante Week runs until October 11. A full list of the participating restaurants can be found here.
