HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- The YMCA of Greater Richmond in partnership with Henrico County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday for a brand new YMCA Aquatic Center in Henrico's East End.
The new facility, named for long time Henrico Board of Supervisors member Frank J. Thornton, will open on Friday, September 11.
The 20,000 square-foot facility features three pools and water slides as well as private and group swimming lessons and aquatic activities for kids and adults alike.
