RICHMOND, Va. -- Half of Virginians admit to having a drink while working from home during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Alcohol.org,a leading provider of treatment resources and everything linked to alcohol abuse and rehabilitation, conducted a study of 3,000 employees working from home across the U.S. to find out how many are using their new office setup as an excuse to drink.
They found that 50% of Virginians said they have drunk alcohol during work hours while operating from home, as compared to a national average of 32%.
In Virginia, restaurants are now able to deliver alcoholic beverages, and distilleries are even shipping bottles directly to customers.
