RICHMOND, Va. -- GWAR, the Richmond-based metal band, announced plans for a drive-in concert in Richmond.
The October 10 concert will be held in a parking lot outside The Diamond on North Arthur Ashe Boulevard.
"Vehicles will be parked in a socially distant manner, and ticket holders are invited to sit directly adjacent to their vehicles in lawn chairs or on blankets," concert promoters announced. "The band will perform on a large, raised stage with high-quality sound and lighting."
Promoters added COVID-19 safety guidelines will be "strictly enforced" and concert-goers "may not leave their vehicle area except to use the restroom and must wear masks when using the facilities."
