Missing 65-year-old woman with dementia found safe in Colonial Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- A missing 65-year-old woman with "Advanced Dementia" who last seen in Williamsburg Saturday afternoon was found safe in Colonial Williamsburg Sunday morning.

Dorothy Foster is from Hampton, but was last seen in the area of Mooretown Road near The Reserve around 1 p.m., according to deputies with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Colonial Williamsburg Security located Foster just before 6 a.m.

"She is being reunited with her family," Shelley Ward with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said. "Thank you to everyone who called in with information and for all of your thoughts and prayers."
