HOPEWELL, Va. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify the two people who jumped out of an SUV and opened fire on a home in a Hopewell neighborhood Friday evening.
Officers responded to the 400 block of Cabin Creek Drive after callers reported hearing shots fired or what sounded like fireworks in the area at 7:30 p.m., according to officials with the Hopewell Police Department.

Officers recovered security camera video that shows a dark-colored SUV with a roof rack speeding through the neighborhood.
The SUV stops and a suspect jumps out and begins firing in the direction of the 3900 block of Boiling Drive, according to police. Moments later another suspect gets out of the SUV and starts shooting in the same direction, the video shows.
About 30 seconds later, the pair then jump back into the SUV and speed off, police said.
The first suspect was described as a black male wearing a black T-shirt and red shorts.
The second suspect was described as a white male wearing a white T-shirt and black gym shorts with a white strip.
"[Officers] recovered 25 casings (9mm and .556) and 5, .556 rifle casings in the roadway," Lt. Michael Langford with Hopewell Police said. "Multiple residences and vehicles were struck by gunfire during the senseless shooting."
No one was injured, police said.
Police said there is no information yet about who was targeted or a possible motive.
Officials said the investigation into the case is ongoing.
