RICHMOND, Va. -- State police have released the name of the driver killed in a crash in Dinwiddie County Wednesday morning.

Troopers were called to the single-vehicle crash on Zilles Road a mile south of Cox Road just after 7 a.m.

"A 2013 Toyota Tacoma was traveling north on Zilles Road when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree," Virginia State Police Public Relations Coordinator Shelby Crouch said.

The driver, 67-year-old Donald R. Jones of McKenney, died at the scene, according to state police.

Crouch said Jones was not wearing a seat belt.

"The crash remains under investigation," officials said.
