PETERSBURG, Va. – A Chesterfield County man was shot to death in a Petersburg driveway overnight.
Police were called to the 1700 block of S. Sycamore Street after midnight.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man shot to death while sitting inside a vehicle in a driveway.
CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil reports a passenger in the vehicle ran to a home and banged on the door for help after the shooting.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Sean Allan Bassette of South Chesterfield County, was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police are asking for help from the public in identifying and locating the suspects in the case.
