CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Chesterfield County leaders agreed to rename Jefferson Davis Highway to Route One on Wednesday.
This request will now be sent to the transportation board for final approval.
The change in name comes after Virginia lawmakers voted to renameall portions of the Jefferson Davis Highway earlier this year.
