Arrest made in Petersburg shooting

A woman has been arrested in connection to a Petersburg shooting last month that left a victim in critical condition.

PETERSBURG, Va. – A woman has been arrested in connection to a Petersburg shooting last month that left a victim in critical condition.

The shooting occurred on January 31 in the 2300 block of Navajo Court.

The suspect in the shooting, 22-year-old Jimese Thomas, of Petersburg, was arrested in Richmond Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Thomas has been charged with, felony reckless handling of a firearm with injury, use of a firearm in a felony, and felon in Possession of a firearm.

She is being held pending her appearance in court.

The victim in the shooting remains in critical condition.
