Police ID woman killed in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have released the name of woman killed in a shooting in Richmond's Church Hill neighborhood Saturday night.

Officers were called at 9:15 p.m. to the 3200 block of P Street for a shooting, according to Capt. Michael A. Snawder with Richmond Police.

When officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Angela M. Rector, of Richmond, suffering from a gunshot wound, officials said.

Police said Rector was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries where she died of her injuries.

"The Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of death," officers said.

No suspect information was released.
