HENRY COUNTY, Va. -- An AMBER Alert for a missing 12-year-old Virginia girl has been canceled after she was found safe, according to Virginia State Police.
Troopers said Saturday evening that Allie Michele Broadaway, who was believed to be in "extreme danger" and was last seen around 1 p.m. Friday at her home on Reed Creek Drive in Bassett, was "safely located."
The man she was believed to have been abducted by, 21-year-old Kaleb Christopher Merritt of Spring, Texas, was apprehended, troopers said.
Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff's Office said the pair were found in Henderson, North Carolina.
"Broadaway was found safe and checked by EMS for minor injuries, deputies said.
Officials said Merritt was taken into custody by Henderson Police, but have not said what charges he is facing.

"The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2500 for information related to crime," deputies said..
