RICHMOND, Va. -- All Southbound lanes on Interstate 95 South near West Broad St in Richmond are closed following a crash.
A 2011 Freightliner tractor trailer hauling pizza boxes and cheese was traveling southbound when it veered to the left striking the jersey wall on I-95 South at Exit 74. The tractor then caught on fire, jackknifed, and struck the bridge pillars.
The driver sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area of Broad St from 14th St to 17th St and are encouraged to use alternate routes until further notice.
Major delays are expected.
