Virginia DMV to reopen Petersburg service center; 4 others

PETERSBURG, Va. -- The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will reopen five additional customer service centers, including a Petersburg location.

The service center, located at 120 Wagner Road, will reopen by appointment only on Monday, August 3.

The Petersburg location and service centers in Clintwood, Rocky Mount, Suffolk, and Winchester are the latest of 44 offices that have reopened amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

DMV will only offer specific services that generally require an in person visit. These transactions include original driver’s licenses and identification cards, original titles, original vehicle registrations, disabled parking permits and vital records. Appointments for service can be made for 90 days in advance.

Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-noon

Clintwood (2311 Dickenson Hwy., Clintwood, VA 24228)
Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Rocky Mount (305 Tanyard Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151)
Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-noon

Suffolk (1040 Centerbrooke Ln., Suffolk, VA 23434)
Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-noon

Winchester (4050 Valley Pike, Winchester, VA 22602)
Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-noon
