CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Your Place Sports Bar & Grill closed its doors around 2 a.m. Friday. But owner Shawn Swinson was called back to the Midlothian Center shopping strip less than two hours later after a deadly shooting outside his business.

"Emotionally it's pretty tough because there's a lot of people's lives that changed over this one incident," Swinson said. "My condolences to the family of the assailant and the victims. Everybody involved. It's tough on everybody."

Swinson said security video from outside his restaurant showed the fatal shooting.

He said the shooter left the scene for a moment after fatally shooting one man, but then returned and fatally shot himself.

Police have identified the deceased as Ockelle Ty-Quan Duncan, 23, Richmond, and Daquan K. Berry, 24, of Chesterfield. A third person remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

"I watched the mother sit out here and cry all morning because of her son, laying in the parking lot," Swinson said.

That mother told Crime Insider Jon Burkett that the shooter killed her son over an incident that involved her son's girlfriend.

The mother whose son was killed also told Burkett another son was shot July 4 while driving on Interstate 64 in Richmond. That son survived.

"I couldn't imagine going through something like this as a parent," Swinson said about the shooting outside his restaurant.
