2 men charged in deadly shooting

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- Two people were charged in connection to a deadly April 29 shooting in Colonial Heights.

Gerard Richardson, 31, of Petersburg, was shot and killed along the 400 block of East Roslyn Road.

Following an investigation into the shooting, police made two arrests.

Tyjuan Decourtland Epps was charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Brandon Isaiah Brown was charged with conspiracy, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police have not yet established if the victim knew the suspects.
