CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a teenager in Chesterfield County.
Roberto Pierre Elias Zaldivar, 30, was charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the death of a 15-year-old girl whose name was not released.
An injured Elias Zaldivar and the deceased teen were found together in a car along the 6300 block of Pewter Avenue on March 2, 2025, at about 12:22 a.m.
Police were called to the block after someone reported hearing gunshots.
Following the investigation, the deceased victim was identified as a 15-year-old female; her identity is being withheld pending consent from her next of kin.
Elias Zaldivar, of Colonial Heights, remains hospitalized.
“At this time, the investigation indicates this is an isolated incident, and police are not looking for any additional suspects,” a Chesterfield police spokesperson said. “The juvenile female and Elias Zaldivar were known to each other. Police continue their investigation into this suspicious death.”
