RICHMOND, Va. — A parade of cyclists hit the streets of Richmond's West End on Friday in support of Mary Munford Elementary School principal Greg Muzik.

Muzik remains hospitalized after he was struck by a car while riding his bike near the school on Tuesday.

The principal was in critical but stable condition and will have surgery early next week, Muzik’s family posted Thursday on his CaringBridge page.

Munford Elementary School students, their families, and community members took part in Friday's bicycle parade along Patterson Avenue.

The Richmond Police Crash Team has determined Muzik was riding his bike west in the parking lane when the collision occurred.
