New information about crash that killed Chesterfield infant

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Chesterfield Police have released new information about a crash on Hull Street Road that killed an infant.

Police identified the child as JY’Aire A. Jackson.

Jackson was nine-months-old, Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett.

Jackson was riding in a 1999 Toyota sedan that collided with a 2019 GMC pickup truck and camper along the 20800 block of Hull Street Road, police said.

"At about 2:20 p.m. on June 5, a 1999 Toyota sedan was traveling east on Hull Street Road when it struck a 2019 GMC pickup truck and camper that had pulled off Hull Street Road onto the right shoulder," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email about the crash. "[Jackson] was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The adult female driver of the Toyota was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."
