RICHMOND, Va. -- The 2nd Street Festival is going virtual this year due to COVID-19. The 32nd annual celebration will now be online on October 3 - 4. It will feature what the event is known for, music with a special tribute to long time performer Debo Dabney.
Debney, who passed away in April, had performed at all 31 2nd Street Festivals.
Performers for the tribute include Plunky, Desiree Roots, and Glenroy Bailey.
There will also be cooking demonstrations, virtual tours, family activities, and a celebration of historic Jackson Ward neighborhood.
